22nd Annual York Halloween Parade

PARADE DRAWS 39 FLOATS, 17 BANDS

Street Revelers To Vie For Record $ 3, 600 Prizes Saturday

" Biggest" and "Best" are how committee members already are describing the 22nd annual York Halloween Parade set for 7 p.m. Saturday. The line of march is eastward on Market Street from West Street to Lehman Street.

Glowing expectations are based on advance registrations which include 39 floats seven drill teams and 17 bands. A record$3,600 in band guarantees and prizes will be awarded.

Carl F. Neu, administrative vice president of the York Area Chamber of Commerce, one of four parade sponsors, said a keynote appearance will be made by the New York, New York Knickerbockers, 100 -member drum and bugle corps.
