Crowd's favorite returning to York, Pa.

Knickerbockers to come back to York for a musical thank you.

The New York Knickerbockers Drum & Bugle Corp, in order to "thank the people of York for their warm hospitality and tremendous reception this summer," will return to march in the annual Halloween parade Saturday night. The corps' general manager, Harvey Berish, promised "a show to end all shows." The corps competed in the Ninth annual, Eastern States Junior Drum and Bugle Corps championships held in York last August, and was obviously the crowd's favorite, although official judges gave the Knicks third place. In their second appearance here Saturday night, the Knickerbockers--now with a membership of over 100--will feature an enlarged color guard and drill unit of 30 boys and girls and a larger percussion and brass ensemble.
